My artistic journey began with my love for creating.  Like a lot of kids, I loved to make things out of clay, dough, paper, popsicle sticks or anything lying around the house.   My love for drawing and painting in elementary school continued with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Louisiana State University.

Upon graduation, I worked as a graphic designer at Herndon Arts  in Mobile, Al, then as an art director for Cargill, Wilson and Acree of Atlanta as well as other  advertising agencies in Mobile and Atlanta.  During this time I met my husband and we moved to his hometown in Virginia. I split my time between raising a family and freelancing.  When we became empty nesters, I returned to painting.

I find inspiration in everyday scenes with a particular focus on walkways, roads and landscapes that invite the viewers to contemplate the journey that lies ahead.  For me, this subject matter combined with expressive use of color symbolize not only comfort and familiarity of the present but the promise of new beginnings and adventures yet to come.

You can  find my work in Lynchburg, Virginia in Enchanted Antiques and  Findings Art Gallery.

Also in Orange Beach, Alabama at Brand Living and Giving.
